ACS Trust Positions and Responsibilities

ACS Trust

• A majority of the Trustees must be members of the ACS Board of Directors.
• Although it is not required, the President of the Trust is preferably the ACS Treasurer.
• Terms of Trustees should be staggered.

Position Title:  President    

Slated by Board Development: Yes    
Term Length: Seven Years
Responsibilities General:

• Work diligently to ensure consistent growth in the ACS Trust within acceptable risk tolerances as established by the ACS Board of Directors.
• Recommend polices and raise any concerns regarding annual disbursement to the ACS Board for ACS operating expenses.
• Engage and review the performance of investment managers.
• Ensure that annual audits are conducted in a timely manner and any issues identified are promptly resolved.

Responsibilities Specific:

• Chief executive officer of the Corporation
• Preside at all meetings of the Board of Trustees
• See that all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried into effect
• Execute bonds, mortgages, and other contracts (also must be attested to by the Secretary of the ACS)
• Appoint committees as authorized
• Approve all transfer of corporate funds
• Perform all such duties as directed by the Board of Trustees

Position Title:  Vice President

Term Length: Seven Years
Responsibilities General:

• Work diligently to ensure consistent growth in the ACS Trust within acceptable risk tolerances as established by the ACS Board of Directors.
• Recommend polices and raise any concerns regarding annual disbursement to the ACS Board for ACS operating expenses.
• Engage and review the performance of investment managers.
• Ensure that annual audits are conducted in a timely manner and any issues identified are promptly resolved.

Responsibilities Specific:

• Serve in the absence of the President
• Perform such duties as requested by the Board of Trustees

Position Title:  Secretary

Slated by Board Development: Yes    
Term Length: Seven Years
Responsibilities General:

• Work diligently to ensure consistent growth in the ACS Trust within acceptable risk tolerances as established by the ACS Board of Directors.
• Recommend polices and raise any concerns regarding annual disbursement to the ACS Board for ACS operating expenses.
• Engage and review the performance of investment managers.
• Ensure that annual audits are conducted in a timely manner and any issues identified are promptly resolved.

Responsibilities Specific:

• Keep the minutes of Board of Trustees
• Have charge of the records of the Corporation
• Perform the duties of the Secretary of a corporation

Position Title:  Trustee - I
