Requirements for instructing an ACS
Re-accreditation Judging School
Instructors are responsible for verifying judge accreditation by ensuring that participants have met requirements and are ACS members in good standing. Instructors are required to give the Judge Exam to all novices and the test can be administered to re-certifying judges, but isn't required for re-accreditation. A list of students along with the judge status they are seeking to gain and test results are also required for submission to ACS headquarters either by mail or electronically. A signature of the instructor and date of the class, along with the name of the sponsoring camellia club or society are also required on the Judge Class Roster included in the Judge School Instructor's Tool Kit. Materials for teaching are available online and by mail. Powerpoint presentations are also available and can be downloaded or copied to a thumbdrive for the instructor's use.
To schedule an ACS Certified Judging School, please send an email to ACS with the date, time, location, instructor name and registration instructions to ACS when a class is scheduled. Contact Lorie Huff with any questions at (877) 422-6355.
