The Best Way to "Finish Off" your Cards

  • Print out the cards in color on 20# white paper.
  • Use a straight edge and a razor blade or a paper cutter to remove the excess using the crop marks as a guide.
  • Have the cards laminated in a thin - non-thick plastic.
  • Cut the excess plastic off, leaving about 1/8" over-lap to prevent dis-bonding of the plastic.
  • Put cards in a block of wood with a groove in it at about 75 degrees to 80 degrees.
  • If you want you can print out the "Exhibition Cards" on colored paper that corresponds to the color of that class, e. g., Orange for Protected Reticulatas.  This will make it easier for the placement people to put the blooms in the correct category.
