The Camellia handelii species is found in Hunan, Guizhou and Jiangxi provinces of China.
Bloom: The miniature to small 1" - 1.5" single form white flowers are arranged along the stems with multiple pink buds set at each node. The blooms tend to face downward. The blooms are among the most strongly-scented of the fragrant species.
Plant: The cold hardy plant has a gently drooping or weeping growth habit.
Leaf: The small 1" leaves are narrow and give the plant a fine texture.
Bloom season: Late winter through early spring.
